Man Accused Of Threatening Harm To NSU Coaching Staff
(Baton Rouge, LA) -- Louisiana State Police announced Tuesday the arrest of a Baton Rouge man who allegedly sent an anonymous e-mail message threatening serious bodily harm to the entire football coaching staff at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. Trooper Scott Moreau says 24-year-old Charlie Brooks the Second was arrested Monday on a misdemeanor charge of Cyberstalking. Moreau says Brooks admitted sending the threat from his Baton Rouge residence, though the trooper in his news release doesn't say why Brooks did it. Wednesday, November 19, 2008 7:31 AM

Recall Efforts Starts for Terrebonne Parish President A resident of Terrebonne Parish has started an effort to have parish President Michel Claudet recalled. Bryan Bunn, who manages an oilfield equipment company, is highly critical of Claudet's appointment of department heads and response to the September hurricanes. Claudet defends his performance as parish president. He says a recall is certainly Bunn's right as a Louisiana resident, but he says getting all the required signatures will be a tough task.

Harrah's in New Orleans Takes Revenue Hit It's a real sign that tourism is slowing in New Orleans; a drop in revenues at the state's one land-based casino, Harrah's in New Orleans. Riverboat casinos saw a slight uptick in October, compared with the same month last year. So did racetrack casinos.

Shreveport Theatre Sustains Fire Damage A fire has done serious damage to the Shreveport Little Theatre, in the city's downtown area. The theatre had been undergoing months-long renovations. Members of a construction crew returned to work earlier today to discover the building on fire. Firefighter will investigate the cause.
