Man Dies In ATV Crash

Louisiana State Police say a Spearsville man died when the
four-wheel ATV he was driving crashed into the back of another
four-wheeler. After the initial impact, the victim's ATV left the
roadway and struck a tree. 21-year-old Adam Mason was killed in the
wreck.

Teenage Shooter Dies

The Lafourche Parish 8th-grader, who shot himself in the head after
brandishing a weapon in a classroom and firing a shot into a wall
over a teacher's head, has died from his wound. The Lafourche Parish
coroner's office reports that 15-year-old Justin Doucet died
Saturday morning. Investigators say the teen's journal and writings
indicate he was unstable and angry.  Fortunately, no one else was hurt
in the attack that happened one week ago.

Husband Of Murdered Woman Faces Murder Charges

Lincoln Parish deputies says a man charged with killing his wife
Saturday evening is believed to have thrown her body off a bridge in
Richland Parish. Deputies in Richland say someone called them at
about midnight Saturday to report seeing a man throw a body over the
bridge rail. That body was recovered and identified as 39-year-old
Meredith Davis of Choudrant. Samuel Davis is being held on
2nd-degree murder charges.

Graduation Party Shooting

A LaPlace man is booked on a first-degree murder charge after being
accused of shooting another man at a graduation party in Garyville
Saturday night. St. John the Baptist Parish sheriff's deputies
arrested 21-year-old Kelvin Timothy Taylor early Sunday.

New Bridge Toll Sparking Controversy

Ambulances and fire trucks will be subject to tolls on a new bridge
in Leeville when it opens in the next month or so while police cars
will cross toll-free. Firefighters, paramedics and members of the
Greater Lafourche Port Commission say it's unfair. The
166-million-dollar bridge is part of improvements to two-lane bayou
roads between U.S. Highway 190 and Port Fourchon.
