Mark Lambert with the Department of Transportation and Development says there are environmental concerns with those projects, but the state is still committed to funding them.

Day after day, new gas price records continue to be set in Louisiana. Triple-A reports the statewide average price of unleaded regular is up another penny over Sunday to three-dollars-61-cents. That's 33-cents higher than a month ago and 75-cents /igher than on this date last year. Around the state, regular is averaging three-62 in Lafayette, three-58 in Baton Rouge, and three-63 in New Orleans. As for the price of diesel, statewide it's up another two-cents over Sunday to a record high of four-23.
Former state insurance commissioner Robert Wooley was scheduled to appear before the state ethics board yesterday, but the hearing was postponed. Wooley faces possible state ethics charges for a hunting trip that the legislative audior office's claim was partially paid for by the Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation.
