Toddler Found Dead In Swimming Pool

St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's deputies say a missing 20-month-old boy
was found at the bottom of his family's back yard swimming pool.
The tragedy is under investigation, to see if anyone was negligent
in looking after the child.

Teen Arrested In Drug Deal Gone Wrong

A 17-year-old Houma high school student is arrested in connection
with the shooting death of a man during an alleged drug deal gone
wrong. Terrebonne Parish deputies say Raylon Michael Nash is charged
with 1st-degree murder. On Easter sunday morning, deputies found
39-year-old James Pledger Jr. shot in the stomach at a trailer park
in Gray. Few other details are known as yet.

Leesville Crash

State Police say a Leesville man is dead after he turned directly
into the path of an oncoming car. The accident happened on westbound
state Highway 8 near Leesville. Troopers say 41-year-old Michael
Doyle was wearing his seatbelt at the time. Standard toxicology
tests will be performed to see if drugs or alcohol played a role in
Doyle's death.

GM Troubles

GM makes it official--they're shutting down production for up to 9 weeks at 13 of their 20 North American assembly plants. At the Shreveport facility, which makes Colorado and Canyon pickups and the Hummer H3T truck, the shutdown is scheduled for 6 weeks, beginning June 15th and running through July 27th.
