Louisiana Delegation Applauds President

Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu says the President's call is a "wise position" that should have been taken seven years ago. Freshman Republican Representative Steve Scalise also lauds Bush's stand, saying he hopes the Democratic leadership in Congress will "finally pull their heads out of the sand" and stop blocking expanded drilling in the OCS, of which he says only three-percent of one-point-seven-billion acres is leased for oil and gas exploration and development. He says "America deserves solutions" to the ongoing energy crisis.
