Vitter Re-Introduces Legislation Senator David Vitter is kicking off the new session of Congress by re- introducing legislation. One of the bills would restict Social Security trust fund surplus money to only being used for Social Security and not the general budget. Another bill would allow prescription drugs to be re- imported from select countries. Supporters say these re-imported drugs would be cheaper. The proposal has some vital support out of the gate, as Both President-Elect Barack Obama and Incoming White House Chief of Staff and Former Illinois Congressman Rahm Emmauel are on record of supporting prescription drug re-importation. As a Congressman, Emmanuel even co-sponsered the House companion to the same bill. Monday, January 12, 2009 5:41 PM
