The government is doling out $20-million to farmers in eight states, including Louisiana, to create habitats for migratory birds whose usual Gulf wintering spots may be fouled by the massive BP oil spill.

Illinois Man Arrested For Making Facebook Threats; La. Man Turns Him In
|

(Vernon Hills, IL) -- A 41-year-old Illinois man has been arrested for allegedly making violent threats on his Facebook page. Vernon Hills police say Michael Sullivan posted a threat Saturday saying he is quote "again ready to start killing indiscriminately." Sullivan also allegedly promised to, quote "put Vernon Hills on the freakin map." He was arrested at his workplace Saturday after a Louisiana friend called authorities. Police say Sullivan told them he was just venting and volunteered to change his Facebook status. He's charged with disorderly conduct and due in court April 19th. |
