Man Convicted Of First-Degree Murder
|

(Baton Rouge, LA) -- An East Baton Rouge Parish jury has convicted a man accused of the fatal beating of his girlfriend's two-year-old son. Dacarius Holliday was found guilty Sunday of first-degree murder in the death of Darian Coon in May 2007. The jury deliberated for an hour before reaching its verdict. The punishment phase of the trial is slated for Tuesday at 9 a.m. The prosecution is seeking the death penalty.
