(Baton Rouge, LA) -- Baton Rouge police have arrested a woman who's accused of forcing her nieces to put their hands on a hot stove. Authorities say 31-year-old Nedra Berry grabbed the hands of the girls, ages eleven and 12, and held them on a hot stove in an incident that happened on January 29th. Investigators say Berry told officers she was punishing the children for stealing something from school. Berry faces two counts of cruelty to juveniles. The children's grandfather, 46-year-old James Tucker, allegedly saw the incident but didn't try to stop it. He faces two counts of principal to cruelty to a juvenile. |
