Saints Taking Trophy Back Home To City On The Mend Minimize

(Miami, FL)  --  The Super Bowl 44 win by the New Orleans Saints is a victory revered not only by the team, but by a city that has battled so much adversity since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.  The Superdome that the Saints call home was severely damaged during the storm in 2005, but did serve as a shelter for thousands of area residents.  The Saints are now bringing back the Lombardi Trophy to the city that has been on the mend ever since and one that has played host to nine Super Bowls itself.  New Orleans hosted Super Bowls Four, Six and Nine at Tulane Stadium in 1970, 1972 and 1975, respectively.  Since then, the Superdome has gone on to host the NFL's championship game six times, most recently Super Bowl 34 in 2000.  The Superdome is slated to host Super Bowl 47 in 2013.
