Millions Going To Farmers Flooding Their Fields
 The government is doling out $20-million to farmers in eight states, including Louisiana, to create habitats for migratory birds whose usual Gulf wintering spots may be fouled by the massive BP oil spill.

A woman accused of hiring a hit man to kill her husband has been indicted.
Authorities say the Bossier City woman was caught during a police
sting operation during which she paid a deputy a down payment of a
thousand dollars and agreed to pay an additional 29-thousand dollars
once she received money from her husband's million-dollar life
insurance policy. |
