Millions Going To Farmers Flooding Their Fields
 The government is doling out $20-million to farmers in eight states, including Louisiana, to create habitats for migratory birds whose usual Gulf wintering spots may be fouled by the massive BP oil spill.

Seven Injured On Mardi Gras Parade Route
|

|
(New Orleans, LA) -- A total of seven people suffered injuries yesterday in a shooting along the Mardi Gras parade route in New Orleans. Two of the six suffered what paramedics are calling serious injuries and are in guarded condition at an area hospital. Paramedics say a one-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet, and the other victims suffered minor injuries. Two people are now in police custody in connection with the incident. |
