 Ex-Con Facing 17 Counts Of Burglary


(Slidell, LA)  --  As if 12 years in the slammer wasn't enough, an ex-con from Pearl River is looking at more time behind bars.  Slidell Police say they've charged 39-year-old Michael Nelson with 17 counts of simple burglary.  They say his crime spree began in January and ended last month.  Nelson is alleged to have searched out cars with purses left in them, break in, take anything of value inside, pawn some of it and use what credit cards he found only once before discarding them.
