Millions Going To Farmers Flooding Their Fields
The government is doling out $20-million to farmers in eight states, including Louisiana, to create habitats for migratory birds whose usual Gulf wintering spots may be fouled by the massive BP oil spill.

LA Renaissance Festival to take place in Tangipahoa Parish for the next 6 weekends

A part of Tangipahoa Parish becomes 16th Century Europe, over the next 6 weekends, for the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. Just off U.S. 190 near Hammond, the festival features costumed characters, and historic fun for all ages. Co-founder Alvon Brumfield says the entertainment you'll find is both unique and interactive. The LA Ren-Fest is every Saturday and Sunday through December 7th. |
