Triple-A reports today that the statewide average price of regular in Louisiana is at a new record high of three-19-point-nine-cents per gallon. That's up about a penny from yesterday and 71-cents higher than on this date last year. In the state metro areas, regular is averaging a record high of almost three-21 in Lafayette, three-17 in Baton Rouge and Lake Charles, a new record high of three-19 in New Orleans and three-16 in Shreveport. Nationwide, regular is averaging three-27, while diesel is at four-dollars-one-cent a gallon.
