 Recording A Crime For You Tube Would Not Be Allowed

A freshman representative's bill would create the crime of recording a criminal act and posting it on the Internet or other public forum. Representative Barbara Norton says her bill is a response to videos of beatings, vandalism and mischief that turn up often on YouTube and other websites. The would allow district attorneys to prosecute those who tape violent or illegal activity to post online. Violators would face fines of up to $500 and up to 6 months in jail.
