 Gas Is Going Up

State Police announced Monday stopped a tractor-trailer rig on I-12 in Tangipahoa Parish that was transporting more than just its stated load of cucumbers. A search of the vehicle driven by 42-year-old Carlos Matinez of Weslaco, Texas also turned up 13-hundred pounds of marijuana troopers say was hidden behind a false wall. Trooper Louis Calato says Martinez, the drugs and the truck were all turned over to the DEA and the U.S. Attorney's Office for further investigation.
