Federal, state and city-parish offices are closed today for Memorial Day. Only Express Mail will be delivered today -- otherwise, there will be no mail pickup or delivery and all post offices will be closed. Capital Area Transit System buses will run today, but on a Saturday schedule. Southern University will be closed today, but offices at LSU and Baton Rouge Community College will be open. All branches of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library will be closed, as will the Animal Control Center and School Board office. Garbage and recyclables will be collected today.
