|
|

(Lafayette, LA) -- Cajundome officials say structural repairs to the arena aren't likely to begin until December. Operations director Phil Ashhurst says their engineers intend to address repairs to the Cajundome's concrete support beams. The cracks were identified last November, and work was done to temporarily shore up the beams. Ashurst says the one-point-two-million-dollar project will go up for bids in October. He says engineers have determined the building is safe. Operations director Phil Ashhurst says engineers will submit the plans to the state by September 1st with construction beginning in December. He says construction will go on with a minimum of disruption to planned events.
