 Many Feel Inside Recovery Is Far From Over

Approaching the 3 year anniversay of Katrina and Rita, the Louisiana Family Recovery Corps has just completed a scientic study ofthe state of human recovery from the storms. CEO Raymond Jetson says while there may be cranes on the skylines, people are NOT feeling THEY are recovered. A majority of the 2100 households surveyed feel too much focus has been put on rebuilding outwardly and physically--houses, roads and so forth--with next to no aid available for inner recovery--mental and emotional. All residents said financial support for paying bills and maintaining housing is the biggest barrier to recovery--just as the Red Cross announced this weekend they're nearly out of the money people donated for hurricane aid.
