Casino Group Says State Will Lose Tax Money with Indoor Smoking Ban

The head of a casino lobbying group says a proposal in the Legislature to ban smoking in casinos in Louisiana would cost the casinos business and the state tax revenue. Casino Association of Louisiana executive director Wade Duty says history has shown that casinos in states that ban smoking at the facilities take a financial hit from which they don't recover. Two bills moving through the legislative process propose banning smoking in bars and casinos in Louisiana. |
