St. Martin Parish Sheriff's deputies have arrested a Cypress Island man on three counts of aggravated rape. Officials say 24-year-old Dannon Sellers was arrested, along with his mother, Debra Miller, also of Cypress Island. The mother faces three counts of accessory after the fact for aggravated rape. .

Maj. Ginny Higgins, spokeswoman for the sheriff's office, said information would be limited due to the age of the victim.

Both were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correction Center. Sellers has a $300,000 bond while Miller's bond was set at $200,000.

If convicted, Sellers could face life imprisonment.
