Authement To Honored

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors has voted to name UL-Lafayette's College of Sciences after retiring UL President Ray Authement. It will be named the Ray P. Authement College of Sciences. The change will take effect during UL's commencement on May 24th. Authement is retiring this summer after serving as UL president since 1974, and will be succeeded by state Higher Education Commissioner Joe Savoie.
