Two separate accidents Tuesday morning resulted in the death of one bicyclist and serious injury to another. State Police say 21-year-old Abraham LeBlanc of Saint Martinville was riding his bike along Louisiana Highway-92 near Cade when he was hit by an SUV and thrown. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say neither alcohol nor drugs is suspected to be a factor in the crash. The other accident happened in Carencro, where 41-year-old Daniel Lambert of Lafayette was riding his bike on the northbound shoulder of the I-49 frontage road. Troopers say Lambert suddenly veered into a northbound traffic lane and was hit by a car. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
