Faulk Cited For Misdemeanor Drug Charges

New England Patriots running back and Carencro native Kevin Faulk is facing misdemeanor drug charges after being cited at last Friday night's Li'l Wayne concert at the Cajundome. The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office says a deputy found four marijuana cigarettes on Faulk during a routine search. The NFL standout was not arrested, but written a misdemeanor citation. Faulk faces up to six months in jail and a fine of 500-dollars. District Attorney Mike Harson says even though Faulk has been arrested several times in the past, there are no convictions on his record. Harson says as a first-time offender, Faulk may get probation.
