Iberia Parish Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man in connection with the stabbing death of a New Iberia woman. Sheriff Sid Hebert says 27-year-old Brent Authorlee of New Iberia was taken into custody after deputies found evidence in his apartment linking him to the murder of Michelle Kenney. Kenney's body was found Monday in an apartment attached to the Patout Greenwood Insurance Agency on Charles Street. Kenney and her sister owned the business. Hebert says witness told detectives Authorlee and Kenney had an on-again, off-again relationship that ended recently. Authorlee is charged with second-degree murder.
