A Lafayette Parish school bus driver and his attendent are under suspension after leaving a Truman Elementary School student on the bus, unattended, for about an hour. Parish school officials say the incident happened within the last several weeks. Officials say Eugene Terrance drove his bus home and later discovered a student was still on board. The school board agreed Aptil 16th to suspend Terrance and his attendant, Amanda Credeur, for 20 days each without pay. The school board adopted a policy in February of last year to stiffen penalties for leaving students on buses.
