 U-L Officials Talk Demolition

UL officials say plans are in the works to demolish 40 married student apartments in order to make room for an expansion of the new Legacy Park on-campus community. UL Physical Plant Director Bill Crist says the project would expand the new complex from 466 beds to about 600 beds. Officials say the move is in response to the growing demand for on-campus housing. The UL System Board of Supervisors will need to give final approval, and is expected to take up the issue Friday. Crist says construction on the Legacy Park expansion could get started this year.
