Lafayette Police are investigating after the driver of wrecker service truck was struck in the head. The victim said he was leaving his truck after pulling into the businesses parking lot around 2 a.m. when he was struck on the head. He says his pockets were emptied and Lafayette Police say the only information the victim could provide was that the suspect was a black male. Anyone who might have seen anything around 2 a.m. in the 500 block of North Pierce early Sunday morning is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 232-Tips.
