 Final Approval On Ethics Rules

State lawmakers gave final approval Monday to legislation that will require those found guilty of violating Louisiana ethics rules to pay any fine levied against them themselves with personal funds. The bill now heads to Governor Bobby Jindal's desk for his signature. Jindal is facing a possible fine up to 25-hundred-dollars after his gubernatorial campaign failed to report 118-thousand-dollars in contributions from the Louisiana Republican Party in a timely manner. His campaign manager has offered to pay the fine, but would be barred from doing so under legislation approved by the House and Senate.
