(Eunice, LA) -- Authorities have arrested a man accused of running his vehicle into a Eunice Police car over the weekend. Officials say 31-year-old Corey Duran Bushnell, of Eunice, faces multiple charges, including attempted second-degree murder, aggravated flight from an officer, discharging a firearm and resisting arrest. Authorities say a police officer who was aware of outstanding warrants against Bushnell approached him at a gas station, and Bushnell fled in his vehicle. Police say Bushnell led officers on a chase, failing to stop for police who had their lights and sirens going. Officials say, during the chase, Bushnell ran head-on into a patrol car that was stationary, but occupied by an officer who suffered minor injuries. Bushnell was initially booked into the Eunice City Jail, but was transferred to the Saint Landry Parish Jail.
