More Intersections With Cameras
|

|
The SafeLight Lafayette program has expanded by four intersections, as of Sunday. Traffic cameras are now operational at Bertrand Drive at Dulles/Billeaud Avenue, Johnston Street at Foreman Drive, University Avenue at Simcoe Street, and Moss Street at Simcoe. Cameras have already been operation at Gloria Switch Road at the I-10 Frontage Road, Johnston Street at South College Drive, Simcoe Street at Pinhook Road, and Moss Street at Mudd Avenue. City-Parish traffic officials say other cameras are being installed at Moss Street at Pont De Mouton and the University Avenue interchange at I-10. The cameras are designed to catch those who run red lights.
