It was big success last year, and Wednesday it's all happening again, but this time in Jeanerette. 7th District Congressman Charles Boustany and 3rd District Congressman Charlie Melancon will be teaming up to present Farm Day 2008. There will be a presentation from industry experts on the status of the farm bill and trade agreements along with a keynote address by Mark Keenum, the Under Secretary for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Service. Boustany says his event last year was a success with farmers, and both Congressmen are hoping they can provide the same level of updates and information to farmers tomorrow as well.
