(Washington, DC)  --  The White House is being pressed again on a deadline for finishing healthcare reform.  Presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs cited a strong desire to get it done "as quickly as possible."  Gibbs had earlier said it could be done by March 18th, but that deadline has met resistance from congressional Democratic leaders.  The Obama administration is making a furious push to get healthcare finished soon.  The issue stalled after the Senate and House passed different health insurance reform bills lasts year.  In two rallies this week, the President hammered health insurance companies for continuing to raise premiums on struggling families.  Gibbs again rejected Republican pleas to scrap the healthcare bills and start over.  He said, quote "Health insurance companies are not starting over."  Gibbs called ongoing Republican criticisms the "same old tired spin and delay tactics."  President Obama departs next week on a trek to the Asia-Pacific region.  Gibbs insisted there are no plans to postpone the trip because of the ongoing deliberations over healthcare reform.
