>>Dr. Conrad Murray Charged In Michael Jackson's Death
(Los Angeles, CA) -- Involuntary manslaughter charges have been filed against Dr. Conrad Murray in connection with the death of singer Michael Jackson last June. Murray pled not guilty to the charges and posted 75-thousand dollars bond. He was required to surrender his passport. Murray was Jackson's personal doctor at the time of the singer's death. The Los Angeles County coroner's office ruled the death was the result of, "acute propofol intoxication." Murray is due back in court April 5th. A preliminary hearing date will be set at that time.

(Port-au-Prince) -- A day shy of the four-week anniversary of a devastating magnitude-7 quake that rocked Haiti, a survivor has been found. CNN reports the 28-year-old man was severely dehydrated and was suffering from malnutrition when he was found in the wreckage of a market in Port-au-Prince. The victim was being treated at a University of Miami field hospital in the capital city. He reportedly told doctors that someone had brought him water before he was rescued. However, they also said he seemed dazed and confused after the ordeal.

(New Orleans, LA) -- The city of New Orleans is set to honor the Super Bowl champion Saints with a parade tomorrow. The Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts last night 31-17 to win their first NFL title. Schools will close early to allow more people to attend the celebration and to let school bands take part. The parade will start at the Superdome, the Saints home stadium, and end at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

(Washington, DC) -- Venerable Democratic Congressman John Murtha of Pennsylvania has died. He had been hospitalized in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Arlington, Virginia being treated for complications from gall bladder surgery. He served Pennsylvania's 12th congressional district since 1974. Murtha was a Vietnam War veteran, earning a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts for his service. He was recently an vocal supporter for the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq.

(Houston, TX) -- The Houston Metropolitan Transit System body shop will be a busy place following a collision between a bus and train this afternoon. Nine people were reportedly hurt when a bus and light rail train collided in downtown Houston about 3:30 p.m. local time. Metro officials say the bus driver ran a red light causing the collision that was severe enough to push the train off its track.

(Toledo, OH) -- Scantily-clad dancers at a gentlemen's club in Ohio are getting behind the Haitian relief effort. "The Toledo Blade" reports entertainers at Marilyn's on Monroe donated all the proceeds from Saturday's cover charges to a group called International Services of Hope. Marilyn's manager Kenny Soprano said, quote, "You don't hear much about strip clubs giving back to the community." The event billed as "Lap Dances for Haiti" raised about a thousand dollars.

(Aspen, CO) -- "Two And A Half Men" star Charlie Sheen is up against three charges related to his Christmas Day arrest in Aspen, Colorado. The actor was officially charged with three crimes Monday, including felony menacing, misdemeanor third degree assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief. Sheen did not enter a plea at the hearing. The charges stem from a dispute Sheen had with his wife Brooke Mueller, who claims the actor threatened her during an altercation. Both appeared at the courthouse in Aspen where the judge also relaxed a protective order to allow Sheen and Mueller to communicate and contact each other.
