LA Disaster Unemployment Assistance Program recieves funds from FEMA The state's cash-poor Disaster Unemployment Assistance program--for those forced out of work by hurricanes Gustav and Ike--receives a fresh injection of funds from FEMA. Louisiana Workforce commission spokesman Curt Eysink says another $2.5-million has been cleared, and eligible recipients will see relief right away. He says it's another example of how Louisiana's economy is in better shape than the national economy.
